Exploration company American Tungsten Corporation has joined the Critical Minerals Institute (CMI) as a member to help advance the dialogue on needs and challenges within the critical minerals sector in North America.

Canada-based CMI comprises industry veterans and experts to navigate complex challenges, including building critical mineral supply chains, political pressures and national security agendas.

The institute provides comprehensive resources for businesses, governments and other stakeholders into the value, sustainability and strategic importance of critical minerals.

American Tungsten is involved in the acquisition and exploration of magnetite mineral properties. Its flagship Star project, which it is working to earn a 100% interest in, consists of five contiguous mineral titles covering an area of about 4 600 ha in the Skeena Mining Division, in British Columbia.

The company is also earning into the IMA project, which is an underground tungsten mine in Idaho, in the US.
