AngloGold makes new board appointment
JSE- and NYSE-listed AngloGold Ashanti has named Marcus Randolph as an independent nonexecutive director, effective October 27.
Randolph, a former BHP executive with more than 40 years of industry experience, will join the Compensation and Human Resources Committee and the Social, Ethics and Sustainability Committee.
“Marcus brings to the board a wealth of experience gained over his long career in senior leadership and board positions in the global mining sector,” chairperson Jochen Tilk said. “We will benefit greatly from his expertise across governance, corporate strategy, and the mining value chain.”
Randolph previously served as CEO of Ecobat, executive chair of Boart Longyear and held several leadership roles at BHP between 1999 and 2013. He holds a mining engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Harvard.
