Project Description
The facility will be engineered to process spodumene concentrate sourced worldwide.
The project will produce about 18 270 t/y of lithium carbonate over a 20-year mine life.
The required feedstock for the plant will be 140 000 t/y at a 6% lithium oxide-(Li2O-) grade; however, the plant has been designed to receive grades as low as 5% Li2O. Industry-supplied spodumene averages at about 5.5% Li2O.
