Carlisle TyrFil announces that the brand has recently embarked on a new chapter of growth across the African continent with the appointment of Walter (“Wallie”) Roux as the region’s new Business Manager. Roux comes to Carlisle after serving as Regional Manager with Bridgestone Commercial South Africa and also a short stint with Johnson Taylor Forklifts.
Carlisle indicates that Roux brings a wealth of experience in sales leadership, business development, and strategic market expansion within the industrial and mining sectors, noting that his deep understanding of customer needs and proven track record in sales and operations will be instrumental as the company expands access to Carlisle TyrFil’s industry-leading, sustainable tyre flatproofing solutions throughout Africa.
Roux succeeds Peter Klein, who will be retiring this month. Carlisle praised Klein as being an integral part of the Carlisle TyrFil team, who has played a pivotal role for many years in growing the TyrFil™ flatproofing brand presence across the region, while building trusted relationships with the company’s dealer network and end users. Although he will be stepping back from day-to-day operations, Klein noted that he will continue to support the team as a brand ambassador.
“As Walter steps into his new role, we are confident he will bring experienced strategy insight, strong market knowledge, and a customer-first mindset to help drive our mission forward—eliminating downtime, improving safety, and delivering the quality tyre flatproofing performance that keeps the world, and mining industry, rolling,” noted Carlisle TyrFil executive spokesperson Matt Pearson, Vice President of Global Sales. “Please join us in thanking Peter Klein for his invaluable contributions and welcoming Walter Roux to the Carlisle TyrFil team.”
Roux will oversee all aspects of Carlisle TyrFil sales and customer service for the African continent. He takes on his new role in the Business Manager post effective immediately.
