Cape Town-based automation and system integration specialist Cybernetics Automation will put on display a comprehensive range of conventional to fully automated marking solutions manufactured by Germany’s Borries Marking Systems.

Cybernetics business manager Maurice Curtis says Borries manufactures machines and tools for direct permanent marking based on material displacement technology.

“Borries has a long established history of robust design and construction, as well as reliability. Intervals between essential maintenance and service are longer than most and the machines operate trouble-free in the most aggressive environments,” he states.

Cybernetics supplies Borries’ entire range, from hand-held stamps to sophisticated software- driven and controlled automatic machines. The 322 model automatic scriber is the most popular of Borries’ machines in the South African market and Curtis explains that the machine is usually built into a multifunctional line where final scribing or traceability is the primary objective.

The machines are usually purpose-designed for the individual application and are supplied on a four-to-six week lead time. Handstamping and conventional marking equipment are available ex-stock.

Cybernetics also carries a range of spares, which is suited to meet most maintenance requirements.

The company has been supplying Borries products to the South African market since January 2014, although the German group has been active in the country for over 20 years.

“The customer response is very positive and we are able to support local clients on a very rapid basis,” Curtis says.
