Regional trade show, the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) – held at the Durban Exhibition Centre from July 22 to 24 – aims to showcase technological advancements that have improved control systems, elevating them to new heights of efficiency and transformative capability.

Innovations in AI, the Industrial Internet of Things and machine learning have allowed these systems to “break past” traditional limits, delivering unparalleled precision and adaptive functionality, states KITE organiser Specialised Exhibitions portfolio director Charlene Hefer.

This evolution has brought about an era where automation “seamlessly” integrates with predictive analytics and interconnected intelligence, “creating endless possibilities for smarter industries, optimised processes and enhanced decision-making”.

Further, the fusion of these technologies is redefining control systems and their role in shaping a more intelligent and connected world.

“Making sense of these advancements and ensuring that whatever instrumentation and control systems you adopt within your organisation will provide future-facing optimisation, can be a minefield,” Hefer comments.

She adds that the exhibitors at the KITE are equipped with the knowledge and expertise to provide industry professionals with the advice and solutions needed to ensure fit-for-purpose industrial technology solutions.

In addition to exhibitors showcasing industrial technology solutions, industry professionals will be able to find the solutions to their precise needs in an “unparalleled” environment.

“Imagine a space where innovation meets demand; where those seeking cutting-edge industrial technology solutions can connect directly with the innovators driving progress.”

Additionally, it will bring in a “captive market” of decision-makers, problem solvers and industry leaders, with exhibitors showcasing the latest advancements to create a “powerful synergy”.

Moreover, Hefer suggests that KITE “is more than just an event”, noting that the trade show is a hub for partnerships, knowledge sharing and “game-changing solutions”.

“This convergence is where needs are met, ideas are sparked, and the future of industrial technology is shaped.”

Further, to complement the numerous live demonstrations and networking opportunities, KITE also hosts free-to-attend information-sharing sessions.

Voluntary association, the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering, has a dedicated Seminar Theatre at the event.

Moreover, attendees will also be able to attend a day-long conference by engineering association Lifting Equipment Engineering Association of South Africa.

Hefer concludes that “there is no event in the KwaZulu-Natal region like KITE, [as it] provides exhibitors with the opportunity to interact with thousands of people from their target markets [and lets] visitors find thousands of solutions, all under one roof”.
