Geotechnical services provider keen to exhibit at Electra Mining 2026
With more than three decades of experience, geotechnical services provider GeoGroup has established itself as “a trusted name in the field of geotechnical investigations and exploration solutions”. The company’s work spans a range of specialist services, including geotechnical and exploration drilling, in-situ testing and geotechnical instrumentation.
The company will be exhibiting at Electra Mining Africa 2026 – which is being held from September 7 to 11 – showcasing its services in Hall 8 at Stand D56. Representatives from the company will be on hand throughout the event to share insights and answer questions about their work in geotechnical investigations and exploration.
GeoGroup’s drilling portfolio is extensive, incorporating rotary core, percussion, reverse circulation and sonic drilling methods. The company is also recognised for its expertise in
Seismic Cone Penetration Testing and in the supply, installation and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation.
“This combination of capabilities allows GeoGroup to manage projects from start to finish, often reducing the need for multiple contractors on a single site. A notable area of focus has been tailings dam projects, where the integration of drilling, testing and instrumentation provides clients with a complete turnkey solution,” the company states.
Moreover, GeoGroup has significant experience in coastal and inland water investigations, where specialised equipment and barge-mounted rigs allow teams to undertake drilling on water bodies along coastlines as well as on inland water bodies.
These projects support critical infrastructure development in ports, harbours and dam engineering. GeoGroup maintains a strong presence across South Africa, with its head office in Johannesburg, Gauteng and regional branches in KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape.
Beyond national borders, two independently owned and operated entities—Geomechanics Uganda Limited and Geomechanics Botswana Proprietary Limited—extend the group’s reach and reflect its commitment to operating across the continent.
