Hillgrove mobilises contractors to accelerate Nugent development
ASX-listed Hillgrove Resources has mobilised mining contractors to fast-track the development of the Nugent underground decline at its Kanmantoo copper operation in South Australia, marking the start of Stage 1 in its production growth strategy.
The company on Wednesday confirmed that both equipment and labour are now on site, enabling the accelerated advancement of the Nugent development. First ore from the Nugent deposit remains on schedule to be processed in the December quarter.
"This is a critical stage in the production ramp-up over the next 12 months and will also provide additional platforms to accelerate our diamond drilling targeted at Nugent,” said CEO and MD Bob Fulker.
He added that the mobilisation of resources comes at an opportune time, following the announcement of new high-grade intersections from recent drilling, as disclosed to the market on March 24, 2025.
The Nugent development forms part of Hillgrove’s broader strategy to expand production at Kanmantoo, with the current phase aimed at increasing underground ore supply.
