Innomotics makes debut at Electra Mining
Innomotics, formerly Siemens Large Drives and Low Voltage Motors, will be making its first appearance at Electra Mining Africa. This newly formed company leverages 150 years of Siemens engineering expertise, and a fresh, innovative new structure, to bring new solutions to the mining industry.
With a global network of factories, engineering hubs and sales offices, Innomotics is a leading provider of electrical motors, medium voltage drives and integrated solutions. The company serves multiple industries, but places a strong emphasis on the mining and cement industries, which are particularly significant to the African market.
Innomotics’ South African headquarters houses an experienced team of electrical and automation engineers and one of six global Digital Hubs. From this hub, the company supports mining operations across sub-Saharan Africa to deliver on its business objectives throughout the project lifecycle – from early engineering through to operations and maintenance.
“Electra Mining presents the ideal opportunity to showcase the full extent of Innomotics’ offering, from traditional applications to cutting-edge digital solutions that help customers to reach new levels of productivity,” it states.
Innomotics’ motors and drives are engineered to deliver high performance in the most critical applications, including traction drives for mobile mining equipment, specialised drive trains for winders, material handling and comminution, and world-leading gearless technology for conveyors and large mills. Ongoing innovation enables a range of functions that help mines adapt to the challenges posed by an increasingly complex energy supply landscape.
As a preferred system integration partner for Siemens automation technology, Innomotics’ engineers are able to consult, design and implement futureproof automation strategies.
“Whether clients prefer a traditional approach or a complete integrated engineering service incorporating digital twins and advanced process control, our team is ready to provide professional and effective project support,” says Innomotics.
At Electra Mining, Innomotics will launch its Pit-to-Port showcase, highlighting improvement opportunities throughout the value chain through technologies from the DigiMine portfolio.
The DigiMine lineup includes a short interval control system for schedule compliance, optimal resource allocation, and real-time status monitoring for mining activities.
The LifeCycle and CoPilot offerings deliver a holistic concept for plant engineering, commissioning and maintenance to reduce startup costs and extend the plant lifecycle. Finally, DigiMine AssetAnalytics offers AI-enhanced anomaly detection and analysis for improved uptime of key equipment.
The Pit-to-Port application provides a platform for integration of information across the entire value chain to enhance decision- making. By removing silos and providing complete transparency, Pit-to-Port unlocks hidden value in complex operations.
