Uranium exploration and development company Madison Metals CEO Duane Parnham says the latest findings from the company’s Khan uranium exploration project at Madison West, in the Erongo uranium province of Namibia, have exceeded expectations.

“We are on the cusp of something remarkable,” he said on May 7, following a recent visit to the site.

On February 7, the company released the first ten assay results, which included 8.47% triuranium octoxide (U3O8) over 1 m in Trench 6. The new data from this trench has further broadened the anomalous width to 4 m with an average grade of 2.78% U3O8.

Parnham said these results have confirmed the surface continuity of mineralised alaskites at Anomaly 5, showcasing uranium grades well above 0.1% U3O8 across six of the seven sampled trenches.

“I was already immensely excited about the Khan project. Being on the ground and witnessing these promising developments has further increased my excitement and confidence in its potential,” he said.

So far, visual observations from rock samples collected on site show significant uranium mineralisation from the Khan project. These visual samples are helpful in assessing the site's uranium potential and providing evidence for Madison's theory that the site contains significant uranium resources.

Madison is gearing up for its maiden drill programme, which is scheduled to begin this month.
