ASX-listed Energy Transition Minerals, the developer behind the Kvanefjeld rare earth element project in Greenland, has announced key leadership changes aimed at advancing the project.

The company is pursuing a dual-track strategy to assert its rights over the Kvanefjeld project, either through negotiation or formal arbitration via legal proceedings.

Svend Hardenberg has been appointed to the board of Greenland Minerals, effective immediately. Hardenberg brings a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur and has held significant roles in both the public and private sectors in Greenland. He previously served as a strategic adviser to Greenland Minerals earlier this year.

Hardenberg’s board appointment follows the retirement of Ib Laursen, who had been the operations manager since 2013. In his new role, Hardenberg will oversee Energy Transition’s operations in the Arctic, further strengthening the company’s leadership as it navigates the complexities of project development in the region.
