Coronado Global Resources and, subject to contract finalisation, will be operated by Eclipse Mining.

Project Description
Mammoth will be an underground bord-and-pillar operation, which will access an estimated 41-million run-of-mine tonnes of metallurgical coal reserves through the existing opencut pit highwall in S-Pit.

Latest Developments
Coronado Global Resources announced the opening of its Mammoth underground mine at the Curragh Mining Complex on December 13, 2024.

The mine – Coronado’s first underground mining venture in Australia – will ramp up to a production rate of 1.5-million to 2-million tonnes a year in 2025.
