AusIMM is the professional home for resources professionals and offers more than 20 technical mining courses to participants from across the globe.

Since launching its online courses program in 2018, AusIMM has expanded its professional development offerings to cover topics that include metal accounting, reporting on mining assets, mining leadership, business optimisation and ESG.

Courses are developed with leading organisations and subject matter experts in response to the needs of the resources sector.

Now in its sixth year, AusIMM Courses has announced the arrival of a new course category: Associate Certificates.

“In response to community feedback, and in recognition of our world-class course quality, we are excited to announce that four of our short courses are now available as Associate Certificates,” says Susan Greenbank, Head of Online Courses at AusIMM.

The four new Associate Certificates are Business Optimisation for Mining, Study Processes for Resource Projects, Cost Estimation for the Resources Industry and The Mining System.

Thousands of mining professionals from across 66 countries have undertaken AusIMM Courses, with the online training rated 4.9/5 across 4,000 reviews.

“It’s an investment to make but when you do AusIMM courses, there’s going to be an immeasurable outcome to your career. You can tell people you’ve done the course and it will mean something,” says Rene Sterk, FAusIMM(CP), Director & Principal Consultant Geologist, RSC and an advisor for the AusIMM JORC Code Reporting Professional Certificate.

Associate Certificates run for 20 hours over 5 weeks with self-paced activities, live virtual classrooms and recorded sessions for those unable to attend.

Successful participants are eligible to receive digital credentials, PD hours, takeaway resources and will gain skills they can immediately apply in their workplace.
