Name of the Project
Nifty surface mine project.

Location
Western edge of the Great Sandy desert, in the north-eastern Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Project Owner/s
Cyprium Metals.

Project Description
A scoping study has examined the potential and size of a surface mining and processing operation at the Nifty copper project targeting the copper sulphide resources, based on the March 2024 mineral resource estimate of 125.02-million tonnes grading 0.83% copper.

The development takes advantage of existing infrastructure and positions Nifty as one of the lowest near-term capital-intensive copper projects worldwide.

The optimal pit contains 70-million tonnes of sulphide ore at 0.9% copper for an expected 570 000 t of recovered copper through the expanded and refurbished 4.5-million-tonne-a-year concentrator over the 17-year life-of-mine (LoM).

Projected average production is estimated at 36 000 t/y of copper in concentrate over the LoM.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The scoping study has demonstrated that a surface mining operation can deliver a substantial net present value, based on an 8% discount rate, of $880-million and an internal rate of return of 46% at a copper price of A$13 000.

Capital Expenditure
A$175-million.

Planned Start/End Date
Not stated.

Latest Developments
The Cyprium board has authorised a prefeasibility study.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
None stated.
