ASX-listed Macro Metals’ majority Indigenous-owned mining services business, Nyapiri Macro Mining, has entered into a multi-year framework agreement with BHP covering works at the Mt Goldsworthy site in Western Australia.

The agreement has an initial three-year term, with options for two additional 12-month extensions, potentially extending the partnership to five years.

Under the framework, BHP will be able to issue multiple work packages to Nyapiri Macro under pre-agreed terms and conditions, streamlining the award of mining services contracts over the period.

Nyapiri Macro is 51% owned by Nyapiri Holdings, a Kariyarra, Ngarla and Nyamal Traditional Owner business, and 49% by Macro Mining Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Macro Metals.

The services covered by the agreement include minor building and housing works, site establishment and temporary facilities, civil earthworks, rehabilitation and dewatering, as well as related services. Nyapiri Macro will also provide personnel, plant and equipment.
