PLATINUM'S DAY WILL RETURN:

5th April 2019

While platinum is being taken down a peg or two by the fall in demand for diesel-driven cars, its once poorer cousins have been stealing the limelight and keeping the good name of the platinum group metals (PGMs) family aloft. However, whenever the great ascendancy of palladium is discussed, those in the know will always confidently predict that it is just a matter of time before platinum has its day again. Meanwhile, the high prices of palladium, rhodium, ruthenium and even osmium are ensuring that the weighted basket price of the PGMs, as well as the chrome and nickel coproducts that often accompany them, adds strength to the elbow of mining companies.
