The classification plant at gold mining and development company Serabi Gold's Coringa gold operation, in Pará State, Brazil, has been fully commissioned.

With the commissioning of the plant, Serabi expects the fourth quarter to be its best operational quarter since 2020.

“The plant will be instrumental in achieving Phase 1 of our growth strategy, which is to raise our annual production profile to 60 000 oz by 2026. This marks the culmination of ten months of construction and commissioning and is a critical achievement for the company," says CEO Mike Hodgson.

He adds that the company will now turn its focus to Phase 2 of its growth strategy, which will entail growing the resources at Coringa, as well as at its Palito complex, which is also in Brazil. Its ultimate goal is to increase production to more than 100 000 oz/y of gold.
