SIZEWELL DECISION

SIZEWELL DECISION: The UK has made a final investment decision on the $51-billion Sizewell C nuclear power project, in Suffolk. The British government will retain a minority stake of around 45%, while other investors include Electricite de France SA, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec, Centrica Plc and the Amber Infrastructure Group. The project follows on from the 2016 decision to proceed with Hinkley Point C in Somerset, which has suffered major delays and budget overruns. Photograph: Bloomberg
