Location
Western Türkiye.

Project Owner/s
Tavşan has been developed by Zenit Madencilik, in which Ariana Resources holds a 23.5% interest, alongside partners Proccea Construction and Ozaltin Holding.

Project Description
Tavşan hosts a Joint Ore Resources Committee 2012-compliant resource of 311 000 oz of gold and 1.1-million ounces of silver, underpinning an eight-year mine life with potential for further resource growth.

Potential Job Creation
Once in production, the Tavşan mine will be a significant employer in the region, with about 100 local people expected to be permanently employed.

Planned Start/End Date 
Mining started in 2024. The project reached full operation in October 2025. 

Latest Developments
The project is now fully operational, with final permitting received and ore loading under way.

Gold production from the heap-leach is expected to start later this quarter once sufficient ore has been loaded and leaching starts. About 800 000 t of ore is currently stockpiled, while crushing has been ongoing since August.

Ariana has said that high-grade ore trucking to the Kiziltepe carbon-in-leach processing plant will continue, benefiting from higher recovery rates.
