Project Description
The project entails the construction of an underground mine, with a targeted production of 3.6-million tonnes a year of ore and will use multiple mining methods, including room-and -pillar and longhole stoping.
An aerial ropeway system will be used to transport ore from the mine site to the process plant site across an 800-m-wide and 250-m-deep canyon.
To fully harness the project’s potential, Managem envisions a modern digitalised greenfield copper mine, leveraging advanced technologies to ensure optimised production and enhanced safety.

Managem has appointed excavation equipment provider Epiroc to provide the necessary digital tools to modernise the operation and ensure efficiency and safety at the site.
Epiroc’s solutions comprise real-time tracking of vehicles and personnel with hardware tags, emergency support, automated event-based processes and planning/overview systems, as well as data integration, to ensure smooth real-time data flow.
