Australian copper company True North Copper on Monday announced the appointment of Bevan Jones as MD and Craig Gouws as CFO.

Jones, a seasoned operations officer, has more than 30 years of experience in mine management across a range of commodities. He was previously COO at Toronto-listed Karora Resources and MD of Gold Fields’ St Ives mine, in Western Australia.

Most recently, Jones was MD at Brisbane-based Extra Mining Solutions.

Gouws, meanwhile, is a chartered accountant with Australian and international experience as a CFO with a history of successfully leading financial operations across diverse industries and international markets.

Gouws holds a BComm and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member in South Africa.
