Alumina refinery.

Location
The project is expected to be built near Tinguilinta, in Boké province, Guinea.

Project Owner/s
Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC), a subsidiary of Emirates Global Aluminium.

The government of Guinea will have a 15% shareholding in GAC to strengthen the partnership between GAC and government. 

This shareholding will convert into a 10% share of the mining operation and a 7.5% share of the alumina refinery company when alumina production starts. Government will also have the right to two positions on GAC’s board, including the chair.

Project Description
The refinery will have an initial production capacity of one-million tonnes of alumina a year. The refinery will be the second to be built in the country.
