ASX-listed technology company Chrysos Corporation has signed a master services agreement (MSA) with global diversified miner Newmont Corporation to provide PhotonAssay technology to Newmont’s gold operations.

An initial PhotonAssay unit will be installed at the Ahafo mine, in Ghana, during the first half of the 2026 financial year.

Newmont produces about six-million ounces of gold a year from mines in the US, Canada, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Australia, Ghana, Argentina, Peru and Suriname.

The MSA with Newmont adheres to Chrysos’ general terms of an optional renewable five-year term, a fee per sample and minimum monthly assay payment.

The PhotonAssay units use high-energy X-rays to deliver fast, safe, accurate and environment-friendly analysis of gold, silver, copper and other elements in as little as two minutes.

Chrysos has supplied these units to various mining projects in Australia, the UK, Africa, the US and Canada, with notable customers including Barrick Mining Corporation, Agnico Eagle, Gold Fields, Newfound Gold, Novo Resources and MSALABS.

Particularly, MSALABS, which is a subsidiary of UK-headquartered mining service provider Capital, has a global partnership with Chrysos to supply 21 PhotonAssay units this year.

Chrysos CEO and MD Dirk Treasure says the company continues its strategy of converting the world’s biggest gold miners to using PhotonAssay technology.

“We are pleased to see top- and mid-tier producers adopting our technology at their projects, a trend that will only accelerate as we continue to penetrate the global mining market.”
