Name of the Project
Dalgaranga gold project.

Location
Dalgaranga greenstone belt, in the Murchison province of Western Australia.

Project Owner/s
Ramelius Resources.

Project Description
Dalgaranga is one of the best gold development and production restart projects worldwide.

The project’s licences cover about 509 km2 in the prospective Murchison gold district.

The mine was initially commissioned in 2018 and comprises a fully established gold mine, an estimated 2.5-million-tonne-a-year carbon-in-leach (CIL) processing facility, modern camp accommodation and an airstrip.

The mine was placed on care and maintenance in November 2022 to implement an operational reset designed to preserve the value of its extensive infrastructure and resource base while developing a new, sustainable operating plan.

This approach is underpinned by the exceptional high-grade Never Never gold deposit, which is situated 1 km from the existing CIL processing facility and the main openpit at Dalgaranga.

Latest Developments
Barminco, the underground mining arm of Perenti has secured a four-year contract worth about A$300-million to provide underground mining services at the Dalgaranga project.

The award follows Barminco’s completion of an underground exploration decline at Dalgaranga, which enabled in-fill and mineralisation extension drilling. That decline will now transition to supporting production and further development.

The contract covers underground development, production and related mining services over a 48-month term, with a 12-month option to extend. Perenti has said about $16-million of growth capital will be required in the 2026 financial year to support the work, which has already been included in its guidance.

Meanwhile, Ramelius Resources reported on September 9 that development of the Juniper decline advanced to the 210mRL, with the Never Never orebody intersected in late July 2025 on the 235mRL. The Juniper incline started shortly thereafter and reached the 265mRL by the end of August.

For the 2026 financial year, exploration and resource definition drilling will focus on the Gilby’s openpit and at Four Pillars, West Winds and Applewood, with A$19-million budgeted for 75 000 m of drilling as part of the wider A$80-million, 230 000 m programme at Mt Magnet Hub. Infill drilling will continue to target the Never Never and Pepper resources. The high-grade Never Never and Pepper deposits became part of the Ramelius portfolio in July 2025 when Ramelius acquired Spartan Resources.

The infill drilling programme at Never Never and Pepper has continued to validate the geological model and deliver exciting results as Ramelius consider the incorporation of the Dalgaranga underground mine into the Mt Magnet Hub.
The Dalgaranga Integration prefeasibility study remains on schedule for completion in the December 2025 quarter.
