Name of the Project
Dasa uranium project.

Location
Niger.

Project Owner/s
Uranium project developer Global Atomic Corporation.

Project Description
Dasa is the highest-grade uranium deposit in Africa and surpassed only by grades found in Canada’s Athabasca basin.

The project is based on Global Atomic Corporation’s processing 8.05-million tonnes of uranium-bearing ore grading 4 113 parts per million of triuranium octoxide (U3O8) at the Dasa deposit.

Processing will take place over a 24-year life-of-mine (LoM) to produce 68.1-million pounds of U3O8 of recovered yellowcake, with an average steady-state metallurgical recovery of 94.15% (overall average 93.4%, owing to contingency on ramp-up period).

The LoM is expected to be significantly extended as additional mineral resources are brought into the mineral reserve categories.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
Based on an average selling price of $75 /lb U3O8, the after-tax net present value is estimated at $917-million using an average selling price of $75 /lb U3O8. The internal rate of return is 57%. The assumed payback period is 2.2 years once production starts.

Capital Expenditure
Capital costs are estimated at $392.8-million, compared with the $375.6-million estimated in the 2024 feasibility study.

Planned Start/End Date
Commissioning of the processing plant is scheduled for the first half of 2026.

Latest Developments
Underground development has reached the ore zone, with development waste being hauled to surface. Waste development tonnes brought to surface include 967 t medium- and 11 378 t low-grade waste, as well as 18 050 t mineralised waste, Global Atomic has reported in its 2024 operating and financial results for the year ended December 31, 2024.

Meanwhile, the procurement of long-lead equipment is complete.

The engineering, procurement and construction management contractors are nearing completion of final detailed engineering, and re-ordering the remaining components for the processing plant.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
Not disclosed.
