Future Metals secures EIS grant for Eileen Bore drilling
Exploration company Future Metals has been awarded A$180 000 under the Western Australian government’s exploration incentive scheme (EIS) to conduct drilling at the Eileen Bore prospect.
Situated about 20 km from Future’s Panton project, in the East Kimberley region, Eileen Bore is an advanced exploration target. Historical drilling data has revealed a broad zone of copper, nickel and platinum group metals mineralisation.
Future’s upcoming drilling campaign at Eileen Bore aims to explore the down-plunge extension of the prospect and validate the presence of adjacent near-surface economic mineralisation.
The company plans to start drilling activities as soon as on-site conditions permit, which is expected by the middle of the third quarter.
The extreme weather experienced in the East Kimberley region this year has delayed Future’s access to the Eileen Bore area. However, the delay has presented an opportunity for the company to use the EIS grant towards the cost of drilling at Eileen Bore.
