Introducing the Polity Bookshelf: Deepening Democracy Through Storytelling
Creamer Media’s Polity is proud to announce the launch of the Polity Bookshelf, a new section on our website dedicated to celebrating local and international literature, amplifying local voices and offering readers a curated space to discover the best new literary titles and authors.
This exciting addition reflects our belief that storytelling is central to democracy and that books, and the ideas within them, play a powerful role in shaping public dialogue.
“We see the Polity Bookshelf as a natural extension of our mission: to inform, engage and empower our readers through credible, thought-provoking content,” says Polity Senior Deputy Editor Sashnee Moodley.
The Polity Bookshelf will serve as a vibrant platform for publishers and authors to share their latest work with Polity’s wide and engaged audience and includes content such as exclusive Polity interviews, book excerpts, invitations to book launches with your favourite local authors, and more.
A monthly Polity Bookshelf newsletter will also spotlight the newest releases and literary voices making an impact and readers will find a dedicated Publisher Partners area on the Polity website and in the newsletter that curates all the latest literary content by each publisher.
“We’re excited to deepen our partnerships with local publishers and provide a high-impact space to showcase their contributions to South Africa’s cultural and intellectual landscape,” Moodley says.
Explore Polity Bookshelf, discover your next great read and join us in supporting the authors and publishers helping shape the national conversation.
