Latest separation tech on show this year
WET DRUM Wet drum design innovations result in maximum magnetite recovery while operating with a minimum amount of wear and maintenance
Separation technology company Eriez will exhibit its suspended electromagnets (SEs), wet drum separators and flotation technology at this year’s MINExpo International in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the US.
The company’s booth #24439 will be located in the Las Vegas Convention Centre’s South Hall.
Eriez is a notable global player in separation technologies used throughout mineral processing operations. The company’s SEs are available in both manual and self-cleaning models. They provide tramp metal collection from conveyed materials. Wet drum separators feature the newest advances in magnetic circuitry design and offer continuous recovery of magnetite or ferrosilicon.
The Eriez Flotation product line encompasses flotation cells, gas spargers, slurry distributors and flotation test equipment.
The Eriez SE line consists of 23 magnet sizes, 69 standard models and hundreds of special designs available for unique applications. These magnets are typically mounted or suspended over a conveyor belt to remove large pieces of tramp metal that represent a hazard to downstream crushers, mills, pulverisers and grinders.
Wet drum separators feature a stainless steel encapsulated magnetic element, one-piece stainless steel drum shell and a double-row of ball bearings easily accessible without drum disassembly. Design innovations result in maximum magnetite recovery while operating with a minimum amount of wear and maintenance.
Eriez Flotation has designed, supplied and commissioned more than 1 000 flotation systems worldwide for cleaning, roughing and scavenging applications in metallic and nonmetallic processing operations.
It hasalso made significant advances in fine coal recovery. The group’s flotation columns are used extensively in many major coal preparation plants in North America and elsewhere around the globe.
