London-listed gold producer Lexington Gold, which operates in South Africa and the US, has started trading its shares on the OTCQB Venture Market, in the US.

The company identified increasing interest from US-based investors, particularly owing to the company’s diversified portfolio of gold assets that includes projects in the US.

The company retains its primary listing on the LSE’s Aim market.

The OTCQB is a market operated by OTC Markets Group, designed to provide enhanced visibility and liquidity for international companies seeking to broaden their US investor base.

The OTCQB currently has more than 900 companies trading shares, with the average market capitalisation of companies ranging between $10-million and $300-million.

Lexington will also obtain Depository Trust Company eligibility as a number of US brokers require such eligibility to trade shares on their platforms.

Lexington holds interests in four diverse gold projects covering an area of 1 675 acres in North and South Carolina, as well as six gold projects covering an area of 114 638 ha in South Africa.
