Name of the Project
Mackay sulphate of potash (SoP) project.

Location
The project is located 785 km south of the Port of Wyndham, in Western Australia.

Project Owner/s
Agrimin Limited.

Project Description
The Mackay potash project has the potential to be the world’s lowest-cost SoP producer.

A July 2020 definitive feasibility study (DFS) showed the project to be a large, long-life, low-cost and expandable fertiliser asset.

However, in October 2025, following a strategic review of the project, Agrimin advised that it would withdraw from the project, involving the full or partial surrenders of the exploration licences that cover the majority of the brine-hosted potash minerals.

Agrimin also considered it prudent to withdraw its existing mineral resource and ore reserve statements, including the full or partial surrenders of the exploration licences, which cover the majority of the brine-hosted potash minerals.

The project’s ore reserves are hosted by the Lake Mackay deposit. The ore reserve was based on the extraction of only shallow brine resources using surface tranches and gravity flow.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The July 2020 DFS project demonstrated an after-tax net present value, at an 8% discount rate, of $655-million and an internal rate of return of 21%, with a payback of 4.2 years.

Capital Expenditure
The capital cost of the project was initially quoted at $415-million. Agrimin concluded in October 2025 that, as a result of existing and foreseeable medium-term conditions, continued allocation of capital to the project was not in the best interests of the company and its shareholders.

Planned Start/End Date
Agrimin withdrew from the project in October 2025.

Latest Developments
Agrimin plans to focus on exploration for nonpotash minerals in the West Arunta region. The company intends to retain certain portions of its current exploration licences, which cover untested strike extent, along trend from WA1 Resources Ltd’s Luni niobium deposit.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
None stated.
