As a leading supplier of minerals beneficiation technology to the African mining sector, MBE Minerals SA has an impressive reference base of successful installations in the region. The company has been active on the continent for well over 40 years.

The company’s skilled engineers receive technical support from MBE Coal & Minerals Technology’s worldwide network, which includes an advanced research and development (R&D) centre in Cologne, Germany. The R&D centre collaborates with customers across the world providing optimum processing solutions. This service is supported by an in-house laboratory facility and pilot testwork capabilities.

Available technologies include the Pneuflot® flotation cell which offers higher efficiencies as well as improved product quality and recovery. This innovative technology also offers lower capital and operating costs, and lower wear costs.

The globally field proven BATAC® jig technology delivers huge economic benefits through higher efficiencies, increased availability, better product quality and higher throughput rates. The company’s ROMJIG® has proved particularly suitable as a reliable and economical solution in destoning raw coal.

The robust Jones® wet high-intensity magnetic separator (WHIMS) offers a high throughput capability coupled with simple maintenance and lower energy consumption. Significantly, MBE Minerals SA installed the largest WHIMS plant in the world outside
Brazil, in the Northern Cape.

MBE Minerals SA also manufactures a range of vibrating screens, available up to 3.6 m in width and 6.75 m in length, in single or double deck configuration and in either circular or linear motion. The company’s screens have been operating in the African mining industry for the past 40 years, mainly in the coal, diamond and iron-ore sectors.
