The project will replace production from the Rukodz, which was depleted in the 2022 financial year, and the Ngwarati and Mupfuti mines, which will be depleted in the 2025 and 2028 financial respectively.

The Mupani mine is targeting production of  2.2-million tonnes a year by August 2025 and 3.6-million tonnes by August 2027.
