Oriole completes maiden drilling programme at Cameroon target
Aim-listed Oriole Resources has provided an update on the Mbe gold project, in Cameroon, where it has completed a maiden 3 000 m diamond drilling programme at the MB01-N target.
The programme, which began in November 2025, was planned to test the MB01-N target, which is located 700 m to the north-east of the MB01-S deposit, where the company has previously reported a maiden Joint Ore Reserve Committee- (Jorc-) compliant inferred mineral resource estimate of 24.8-million tonnes at a grade of 1.09 g/t gold for 870 000 oz of contained gold.
MB01-N has a Jorc exploration target of 15-million to 20-million tonnes at 0.77 g/t to 0.94 g/t gold for 370 000 oz to 605 000 oz of contained gold, and offers significant upside to the total Jorc resource potential of the Mbe project.
The company explains that the programme was designed to maximise conversion from an exploration target to a Jorc resource.
In accordance with the completion agreement, the company can confirm that sub-Saharan African miner BCM has now earned a 50% beneficial interest in the Mbe gold project.
The administrative work to formalise that interest, including the drafting of a joint venture agreement, is now under way.
