Australian lithium producer Pilbara Minerals said on Tuesday that CFO Luke Bortoli had tendered his resignation to pursue other opportunities.

Bortoli would remain in the role for a transition period to ensure a smooth handover, the company said in a statement.

A formal search process has been launched to find his replacement, with both internal and external candidates under consideration.

“On behalf of the board and the broader team at PLS, I would like to thank Luke for his valuable contribution during his time with the company,” said MD and CEO Dale Henderson. “Luke has played a key role in strengthening our financial and operational platform during a period of significant growth and transformation.”

Bortoli’s tenure included several milestones, including the securing of a A$1-billion revolving credit facility and the acquisition of Latin Resources.

“We wish Luke all the very best in his future endeavours,” Henderson added.
