Name of the Project
Rosh Pinah expansion (RP2.0).

Location
Namibia.

Project Owner/s
Rosh Pinah Zinc (RPZ) and Appian Capital Advisory.

Project Description
RP2.0 will increase mill throughput from 700 000 t to 1.3-million tonnes of ore a year, increasing zinc equivalent production to 170-million pounds a year.

The expansion comprises further development of the underground mine and the construction of new surface facilities, including a new processing plant, the addition of a paste fill and water treatment plant, and a newly developed portal and decline to extended underground deposits.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
Not confirmed.

Capital Expenditure
$150-million in debt financing was obtained to fund the expansion project in September 2025.

Planned Start/End Date
Construction completion is expected in the third quarter of 2026, with ramp-up starting in quick succession.

Latest Developments
RPZ has commissioned Namibia’s first paste backfill plant at the Rosh Pinah mine, a major milestone in the RP2.0 expansion, which is now more than 85% complete and still tracking to schedule and budget.

The backfill plant is a core part of the underground mining design. It uses processed tailings to fill mined-out voids, which supports safer mining conditions, reduces dilution and improves ore recovery, while lowering the volume of tailings stored on surface.

Overall project completion is targeted for the third quarter of 2026, with ramp-up to follow soon thereafter. Alongside the backfill facility, the expansion includes a new semiautogenous grinding mill, additional processing infrastructure and a new water treatment plant.

Underground development is also advancing through a new portal and decline to open access to extended mineralised zones along strike and at depth, aimed at improving mining efficiency across current and future orebodies.

In parallel, RPZ is running a multiyear drilling campaign to strengthen and increase the resource base and support mine-life extension. The programme includes replacement of in-house drill rigs, and more than 80 km of planned drilling in 2027, spanning infill, step-out and regional targets.

Early outcomes are reported as positive and suggest resource upside beyond the current RP2.0 scope.

Overall, the project remains in late-stage construction, with key operating systems now being commissioned, positioning RPZ for transition into expanded production while continuing resource growth work in parallel.
