ASX-listed Walkabout Resources, which is developing the Lindi Jumbo graphite project, in Tanzania, has appointed CEO Andrew Cunningham as MD.

In an address at Paydirt’s Africa Downunder conference, held in Perth last month, Cunningham described the Lindi Jumbo project as a "game changer" for Tanzania.

He said the company hoped that the development of the project would open the floodgates for foreign investment in the African nation.

In addition to the Lindi Jumbo project, Walkabout is also exploring in southwest Tanzania at the Amani hard rock gold project and holds a portfolio of gold and base metals exploration projects in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
