Wesizwe shares suspended over delay in publishing financials, reports
JSE-listed Wesizwe Platinum’s shares have been suspended owing to its inability to publish its Audited Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and Integrated Annual Report (IAR) incorporating the notice of AGM for the year ended December 31, 2024, within the prescribed period.
Consequently, investors cannot trade in the securities of the company during this period.
Wesizwe says it is working diligently with its auditors and is committed to publishing the AFS and the IAR, along with the Notice of AGM, by no later than July 31.
The company will request the JSE to lift the suspension once the AFS, IAR and Notice of AGM are published.
As previously reported by Mining Weekly, the company, which owns the Bakubung platinum mine, on March 10 advised of a delay in the publication of these documents after a December 2024 cyberattack impacted on the availability of Wesizwe’s financial reporting systems.
