Personal best achievement: Obtaining my degree at Wits University and securing a training programme opportunity with Columbus Stainless.
Person you would most like to meet: Oprah Winfrey. Just like her, I am also from a disadvantaged background and my desire is to use what I have to help young people from the same background as me achieve their goals.
What is your superpower: Believing that I have magnificent power to change my life for the better.
What is your work-life balance hack: Spending time with my lovely family, especially my daughter, and physical activities.

Position: Instrument Technician
Main activity of company: We reduce times within the production system as well as response times from suppliers and customers.

What inspired you to pursue your current path: I have a fascination with understanding the process and function of processes and machinery. It was that fascination of discovering new possibilities and challenges that pursued me onto this path.
Personal best achievement: From being an apprentice to now finally being appointed into the lean manufacturing team whose purpose is to drive lean manufacturing principles across the business.

Position: L4 Manager at Acerinox Columbus Stainless Steel Main activity of company: I am responsible for all the Level 4 Systems in Columbus.
Date and place of birth: 5 September 1974, in Pretoria Education: BCom (Informatics) 1995, BSc (Information Systems) Hons 2001, MDP 2023
What inspired you to pursue your current path: Honestly, nothing. The plan was to do Physiotherapy but due to a limited
intake I had to revert to my second choice being Law. The day I had to enrol at the University as a first-year student, I decided to change my field of study to BCom (Informatics).
Personal best achievement: Completing back-to-back Comrades in 2023 and 2024.
Person you would most like to meet: Angela Merkel. During her tenure as Chancellor of Germany from 2005 to 2021, Merkel navigated the country through numerous challenging periods.
What is your superpower: Resilience
What is your work-life balance hack: Running. It is a way of managing stress, spending time with other runners and enjoying the outdoors.
Annalize Ross
Position: Commercial Manager of Carbon Steel at Acerinox Columbus Stainless Steel
Main activity of company: In my commercial role, I am responsible for managing customer relations, overseeing the carbon steel sales strategies, and ensuring the fulfilment of customer needs.
Date and place of birth: June 12, 1980, in Middelburg, South Africa
Education: BCom Honours in Business Management, University of South Africa (2022) as well as other degrees and diplomas.
What inspired you to pursue your current path: My passion for building strong customer relationships and understanding their needs played a pivotal role in shaping my career path.
Personal best achievement: One of my most significant achievements was the development and execution of a comprehensive business model at Columbus. This model not only expanded our customer base but also propelled the growth of the carbon steel market.
Person you would most like to meet: Jack Ma. His journey from humble beginnings to founding Alibaba, one of the world's largest e-commerce businesses, is incredibly inspiring.
What is your superpower: The ability to multitask effectively and maintain focus under pressure.
What is your work-life balance hack: Strategic time management and prioritisation, maintaining a clear work-life balance, and incorporating travel goals to ensure I take time to explore new places and recharge.
