Energy giants must commit to no-carbon solutions, not low-carbon stalling

People were allowed to smoke freely until smoking in public places was restricted on health grounds. This was done because inhaling of smoke was declared a human health risk. The risk created by the carbon pollution of the world’s energy giants is so much greater and it is wrong for energy giants to keep silent on the issue.

It should be publicly acknowledged by energy giants that the carbon-heavy products are bad for both people and the planet. They need to spell out their green energy strategies for all to see and it is essential that these are based on no-carbon emission solutions and not just low-carbon emission stalling tactics. Failing to go the full hog is totally unacceptable. Fiddling around with half measures is a failure to respect the health of the consumers they rely on for their colossal revenue streams. Energy giants must face the full truth and stop trying to deceive the market with half-truths.
