Western Australia-based Kin Mining, which is soon to be renamed Patronus Resources, has appointed John Ingram as COO.

Ingram is a geologist with more than 25 years of global experience, having held a range of senior corporate, operational and technical roles. He joins Patronus after having served in senior roles at Pilbara Minerals, IGO and Western Areas.

Patronus is being formed by the merger of Kin Mining and PNX Metals. The merged group will have a total mineral resource of 1.4-million ounces of gold, 16.2-million ounces of silver and 117 000 t of zin.

The scheme implementation date is scheduled for September 11.

“As Patronus moves into its next phase of aggressive exploration in the Leonora district, and works towards the completion of the merger with PNX and planning for the exploration in the NT the workload has increased dramatically and John’s experience both technically and corporately will be invaluable. John has a great deal of experience in corporate development and with our strong balance sheet we will put this experience to work reviewing and analysing opportunities.

“I have worked with John previously and look forward to renewing the relationship and growing the company through good science, hard work, that is Patronus,” says executive chairperson Rowan Johnston.
