To offset the current global disruption, all South Africans must focus on seizing every economic opportunity that pops up, as we enter a new economic era. All prospects must be communicated like never before. The public-private collaboration already well under way in energy and logistics infrastructure must be expanded to water infrastructure.

Moreover, South Africa’s membership of BRICS Plus and hosting of the upcoming G20 must be put to maximum advantage. Every effort must be made to make South Africa’s new-era cake bigger and better than ever before. Importantly, thoughts around leveraging off the BRICS Plus platform are already beginning to circulate within the private sector. This must be egged on and maximised.
