Afri-Tech Mining Supplies
Launched in 2007, Afri-Tech Mining Supplies has achieved strong growth as a premier supplier of screen and filter cloths for the liquids/solids separation industries.
The innovative, dynamic and growth-orientated company, under the expert guidance of founder Richard Arends, has rapidly expanded its networks, stockholdings and factory space to supply the highest quality materials for use on linear screens, vacuum belt filters and belt presses. Moreover, Afri-Tech offers ancillary products such as tracking systems, rollers, sliding bars, spray bars and has recently added the Leiden tracking valve to its product range.
Afri-Tech continues to pursue expansion and, at the request of several clients, is now working towards the supply of tower press cloths for the industry. Promising results are forthcoming from trial cloths tested under industry conditions. Priding itself on due diligence, the company will continue trials until mid-2019.
Afri-Tech Mining’s core service focus is the gold, platinum, coal, mineral sands, copper, zinc, effluent, paper and tissue industries, among others. With trade territories in Southern and West Africa, Namibia, Ghana, Zambia and even as far as Russia, Australia and Northern America, Afri-Tech is a truly international company.
Innovation in a mature industry is paramount and has led Afri-Tech to design and develop the Power Nozzle, a stainless steel self-flushing spray nozzle for washing, foam suppression and knock-off spraying. With the increased drive to obtain zero water usage, water recycling on mining plants has become top priority. The Power Nozzle has been designed to work on recycled water and has been further developed by Afri-Tech to include a fully automatic control system, which flushes the nozzle periodically, ensuring its continual optimum operation.
The Power Nozzle will be officially launched at Electra Mining Africa 2018. Afri-Tech Mining will display its core product range; screen and filter cloth products at its Electra Mining Africa stand.
